So after ~41 consecutive hours of travel, I'm back in NY. Best of luck to the new American Intern at a Women's Rights Organization in Kathmandu (official title).
Besides some travel delays, mostly in Los Angeles, the trip home was uneventful. The jet lag really isn't so bad, mostly because the time change is so dramatic that you don't even notice it.
This blog will be up for a little while longer. I'll write a couple times this week to go fill in some stories I didn't post the first time, or some things that have occurred to me, or some amusing yet somewhat hackneyed stories about reverse culture shock (e.g. "things are much costlier here. oh what a world we live in/back in Kathmandu this would have cost only 87 rupees," etc.) I'll also, at some point, probably thread some photos into the blog itself.
After that, I don't know. I may keep updating it with some Nepalis news or commentary, even if just for my own amusement, but for those of you who have been reading, thanks...
